Lori Alter has been involved in show business most of her life. After touring for many years as the lead singer of her father's popular band, The Murray Alter Orchestra, she pursued a career in theatre. Among many other plays, she has performed in Aspects of Love (for which she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a musical and was a runner up with Carol Burnett), West Side Story, The Right Step, and Young and Alive. Lori Alter played the role of Renata D'Aessandro in the TV series Power Play.
