Allen Altman grew up in Montreal but had his sights set on other destinations from a fairly early age. He has lived in Europe, the United States and Canada. One of his first moves was to New York City where he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. He was already getting work when he moved again, this time to Los Angeles in 1996 to continue his studies using the Meisner technique with Sandy Marshall and later at Warren Robertson’s Theatre Workshop. His work includes film and television productions based in Canada, the US and Europe. Allen Altman now makes his home in Toronto. Look for him in The Movie Network's 2010 series, Living in Your Car.
