Patrick Baynham was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a cancer of the blood, as a four year-old and underwent more than three years of treatment before the disease went into remission. After four years, his cancer reappeared. He suffered some brain damage as a result of undergoing cranial radiation.
