David JR Bourne started acting when he was 8, appearing in the 13-part series Parent Puzzle. Like most people that age, years of school lay ahead and his career as an actor really didn't start until he was 25 and had completed his first year at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto, Ontario. He landed a small part on the series Family Passions, which grew into some 15 episodes and he was suddenly an actor. He is most well known as Martouf on Stargate SG-1
