Toronto-based actor and filmmaker, Valerie Buhagiar received international recognition for her roles in Highway 61 and Roadkill. An accomplished actor, she began her career at 18 years of age when she toured China, the U.S. and Canada with the Blacklight Theatre Company. She is currently developing her first feature film following the award-winning debut of her short films, The Passion of Rita Camilleri, One Day I Stood Still, and L’Amour, L’Amour, Shut the Door, Por Favor, where she was writer, director and producer.
