Rod Cameron began life as Nathan Roderick Cox, and started in the movies as a stand-in for Fred McMurray. He often worked with other Northern Stars including Donald Woods in Heritage of the Desert, Yvonne De Carlo in Salome Where She Danced, and Lois Maxwell in 1955's Passport to Treason. Although he was in a number of horror, war, action and sci-fi movies, he is usually remembered for his western movies. In 1943, Cameron would rise to starring status in a pair of fifteen chapter serials: Secret Service in Darkest Africa and G-Men vs. The Black Dragon, both for Rebublic Pictures. Rod Cameron's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame can be found at 1720 Vine Street.
