Violette Chauveau graduated from the Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique in 1986. She works on stage as well as in film and television. In 2004, Chauveau was part of the cast of François Girard's National Arts Centre production of Le Procès, based on what is generally considered as Franz Kafka’s finest novel, The Trial. The stage adaptation was by novelist Serge Lamothe. In 2006 she was in 5 AM at the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival in Vancouver.
