Joe Cobden on the left in a publicity still from the movie, Le Piège américain. His life in showbiz began as a busker when he was just 11 years old. After touring throughout Europe and North America he decided it was time to settle down and complete his schooling. He was accepted at Concordia University's renowned Theatre Performance Program in Montreal. There he caught the attention of the local theatre scene and performed in several productions leading Montreal critics to claim that he was a talent to watch. His performance in the Centaur Theatre production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane brought 2 nominations for Masques Awards, which are Quebec's theatre awards.
