Andrea Joy Cook grew up in Toronto and like many young girls gravitated toward dance taking jazz, tap and ballet lessons at the age of four. She danced competitively for years but decided she wanted to try acting when she was 17 years old. Her first job was in a commercial for McDonald’s but by 1997, A.J. began landing acting roles.
