Francis "Frank" Deacy wasn't an actor. Born in Ireland, Deacy was a high school teacher who had moved to Newfoundland in 1971 and taught a variety of courses at Holy Spirit High School during the 1980s. He was also Founder and President of the Conception Bay South (CBS) Baymen Rugy Football Club. He was named Coach of the Year by the Town and was inducted into the CBS Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. He was also inducted into the Newfoundland Sports Hall of Fame in October 2005. Deacy was also an amateur artist who donated his work for various fund-raising efforts around Conception Bay South including the Monument of Honour Committee of which he was an active member. Something of a local legend, to the best of our knowledge his role in the film Love and Savagery is the only acting he ever did.
