Melissa DiMarco grew up in Etobicoke, a suburb of Toronto and studied theatre at York University graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1993. Speaking of school, she played the role of Principal Daphne Hatzilakos on the TV series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Her series, Out There with Melissa, won Outstanding Achievement in Creative Excellence at the 39th U.S International Film and Video Festival in Los Angeles.
