Lesley Dowey is a Toronto theatre actor. She was nominated for a Best Actress Award from Theatre Ontario in 2000 for her work in the production, Dot in 1949. Dowey has appeared in plays like Simply Told at The Factory Mainspace, The Laramie Project for the Tectonic Theatre Project. In 2001 Dowey played the title role in the production Portia Coughlan, the first full production of a play by Irish playwright Marina Carr ever presented in Canada
