Rosemary Dunsmore divides her professional time between acting for film television and the stage, directing for the stage and teaching acting. She received the Masque Award for her performance in Wit in Montreal, the first English speaking actress to be given this honour and was chosen for Maclean's Magazine Honour Roll as a "Canadian who makes a difference" in 1990. Dunsmore was given an ACTRA Toronto Award in 2009 for her work in the film, The Baby Formula.
