Deidre Gillard-Rowlings is a stage actor who has made only rare appearances outside the theatre. A few of her stage credits include Safe Ashore which is about a modern day Newfoundland family that operates a bed and breakfast business on Newfoundland’s Northern Peninsula, and Tempting Providence in which she played the lead role of Myra Bennett, a British nurse who emigrated to Newfoundland in 1921 and became known as the Florence Nightingale of the North.
