Natasha Henstridge on the left as Taylor Wethersby in a CTV publicity still for the series, Eli Stone. Her early life was far from the bright lights and big cities she dreamed of. Born in Newfoundland, she grew up in Fort McMurray, Alberta. At the age of thirteen, she entered the Casablanca Modeling Agency's "Look of the Year" contest and was chosen first runner-up. When she was just fourteen, Henstridge left for Paris to pursue her modeling ambitions and one year later she landed on the cover of the French edition of Cosmopolitan. Several magazine covers followed and Henstridge went on to do television commercials for products such as Olay, Old Spice, and Lady Stetson. Her modeling career established, her acting career began when she was chosen out of approximately 100 hopefuls to star in the movie Species.
