Paula Jean Hixson moved to Montréal in 1989 and began her acting career there. She graduated with a BFA in theatre performance from Montreal's Concordia University. In addition to her work in film and television, she is a highly accomplished stage actor. Just a small number of her theatre credits include You Can't take it With You at the Centaur Theatre, The Melville Boys at the Vilahe Theatre, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Segal Centre, and Haunted House at the Tableau D'hote Theatre.
