Steve Ihnat was featured on the cover of a Pocketbook devoted to his Star Trek character Garth of Izar.Ihnat was the almost-perfect Hollywood villain. Born in Czechoslovakia he moved to Canada with his parents when he was a young boy, growing up near Hamilton, Ontario where he went to school. Our research has learned that Steve had his mind set on an acting career from an early age and moved to Hollywood as soon as he could. Most people who remember him comment on how strong he was as the "heavy" in 1968's Madigan opposite Richard Widmark. Steve Ihnat died at a very young age from a heart attack.
