In addition to his work as an actor, Les Nirenberg was also a Producer, Director and writer. Diagnosed with diabetes a number of years before his death, Nirenberg suffered a heart attack in 2009 and underwent successful bypass surgery. A resident at Toronto's Performance Arts Lodge, he was a strong supporter of Northernstars.ca since its inception.
