Ellen Page knew she wanted to act before she had become a teenager. In fact she started her drama training at the Neptune Theatre School and when she was only 10 her work in the made-for-television movie Pit Pony brought her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance, as well as a Gemini nomination for Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series. She won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor Award from the Atlantic Film Festival for her work in Wilby Wonderful and picked up another Genie nomination for her performance in the same film. She was given a Gemini for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role for her work on the TV series, ReGenesis.
