Leah King Pinsent made her feature debut in the 1984 film, The Bay Boy, and landed a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress while still a teenager. With that encouragement she went on to study acting and then to perform in theatre in New York and Los Angeles before moving back to Toronto. Her television credits include a lead role opposite Charlton Heston in the Disney movie The Little Kidnappers which brought her a Gemini award nomination for best supporting actress. As of April 2005, Leah had picked up a total 3 Gemini nominations, 1 Comedy Award nomination, and 3 Gemini Awards for her work in the series, Made in Canada.
