Joel Plaskett
b. 1974 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Although he was born in Lunenburg, Joel Plaskett grew up in Halifax. He has extensive experience in front of the camera as a performer, starring in the CBC documentary series Rock Camp as well as in many music videos. In 1992 Plaskett started the band Thrush Hermit which quickly became a critical and commercial success. He went on to create the Joel Plaskett Emergency, which has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards. Plaskett makes his acting debut as a busker in the feature film, One Week.
