Winston Rekert

Winston Rekert has won 2 Gemini Awards and been nominated for nine others. He won for his work in Blue Murder in 2003 in the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Guest Role in a Dramatic Series. He also won for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Continuing Dramatic Role for the TV Series Adderly in 1987. His career spans more than 40 years in theatre, television and film. Best known for his work in Neon Rider, a drama centred around a ranch for troubled kids, Winston Rekert was 63 when he died of cancer at his home in Vancouver.
