Lisa Ryder as Beka Valentine, commander of the salvage ship, Eureka Maru, and first officer of the Andromeda Ascendant. Lisa graduated in 1992 from the University of Toronto Theatre School. In addition to her drama degree, Lisa studied ballet at the Edmonton School of Ballet, jazz dance at Toronto's Metro Movement as well as taking courses in improv at Second City. Equally accomplished in live theater, Ryder has starred in more than 25 plays .
