Frank Schorpian is fluently bilingual working effortlessly in English or French. He also can handle accents. He was hired only nine days before shooting began on the 2004 film, Monica la mitraille. Based on real people and real events, he didn't have time to find out much about Michael Burns, the character he was playing, accept that he had been born in Glasgow. When you hear him in the movie it sounds as if he grew up on the tough streets of Scotland's largest city, not in Winnipeg.
