Jerry Snell is a composer, singer, choreographer, actor and director. Committed to innovative theatre production and performance, he was born in Vancouver but has been based in Montreal since before the start of his professional career. Considered a pioneer in Canadian-Asian cultural development, Snell’s close contacts with artists and respected institutions in Australia, Macau, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou and Taiwan have allowed him to develop important artistic ties that channel the flow of ideas between Canada and Asia. In
2008 he founded Circus International Action, a network uniting groups using performing and circus arts as a tool for helping migrants, street children, working children, freed bonded labor children, people who had been trafficked and victims of slave labor in Asia.
