PAUL SOLES

Paul Soles began his career in TV news and current affairs and is usually remembered as the host of CBC's long-running Take Thirty opposite co-hosts Anna Cameron, Adrienne Clarkson, Mary Lou Finlay and Hana Gartner. With the recent release of The Spiderman movies a whole new generation discovered him when TV networks began running the original Spiderman cartoon series on which he was the voice of Peter Parker, and his alter-ego, Spiderman as well as the voice behind the Fantastic Fakir, Ox and Vulture. Paul Soles is also an accomplished stage actor, and was in the world premiere of the musical version of Ragtime. He also played the lead role of Nat in I'm Not Rappaport; Mr Dussel in The Diary of Anne Frank. In 2001 Paul Soles played Shylock at the Stratford Festival production of The Merchant of Venice.
