Amanda Stepto has gone from the the spike-haired Christine "Spike" Nelson on Degrassi Junior High, as pictured on the left, to a far more adult version of the same character on Degrassi: The Next Generation. The episode It's Late, which starred Amanda in the groundbreaking role of a teenage mom who refuses to leave school, won many awards including an International Emmy.
