IAN TRACEY
b. June 1964 on Vancouver Island, B.C.

Ian Tracey in a publicity still from the CBC production of Intelligence. Ian went for his first acting audition when he was 11 years old, and worked steadily between the ages of 12 and 15, then dropped out of acting to work in the restaurant biz. It may noit have been glamorous but the pay was regular. He returned to film and television in his late teens and has since appeared in a large number of Canadian and American productions. The made-for-TV movie, Milgaard received 11 Gemini nominations and won six awards, including Best TV movie or dramatic mini-series. It also won for Best Actor with Ian Tracey in the title role, and for best director, Stephen Williams. Commenting on the award, Ian Tracey said, "He was in there for 23 years, I have been an actor for 23 years. I got a trophy, kinda ironic."
