TONYA LEE WILLIAMS b.July 12, 1967 in London, England
Tonya Lee Williams moved to Canada when she was 12, living with her parents in Oshawa, Ontario. Crowned "Miss Black Ontario" in 1977, when she was 18 years old, Tonya attended and graduated from Ryerson University's Theatre School in Toronto. Tonya Lee Williams joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Dr. Olivia Barber, pictured above, in May 1990. She has been nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy twice; once in 1996 and 2000. From 1995 to 1999 Tonya has been nominated for consecutive NAACP Image Awards in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama. She won the award in 1999.
