<Joseph Wiseman>

Joseph Wiseman first appeared on Broadway as part of the cast in the production of Abe Lincoln in Illinois in October of 1938. Wiseman was just 20 years old and the play ran for more than a year. It marked the beginning of a long relationship with the New York stage. Over the years, Wiseman had appeared in 15 productions. His last, Judgment at Nuremberg, ran for three months in 2001. At the time he was 83 years old. Wiseman, who is usually remembered for playing the villian, Dr. No, in the first James Bond, was once quoted as saying, "I thought it might be just another grade-B Charlie Chan mystery."
