Colin Campbell

d. October 31, 2001 in Toronto, Ontario

Colin Campbell pictured above in a still from his film, Sackville, I'm Yours. Campbell received his BFA from the University of Manitoba (Gold Medal) and his MFA from Claremont Graduate School, California. His first academic position was at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, the subject of his video Sackville, I'm Yours. The two titles Conundrum Clinique made in 1981 are in fact two separate projects, one running 36 minutes and the second 14 minutes. The vast majority of his films and videos were shorts running 20 minutes or less. His 1978 black and white film Modern Love ran 90-minutes, and many of his first films made in 1972 were silent. Colin Campbell died of cancer in Toronto at age 59.
