Mike Clattenburg began his career as the drummer in a Police-inspired rock band, The Spawning Grunions. Former Grunion keyboardist, Blain Morris, went on to compose the distinctive theme for the series, Trailer Park Boys, and wrote the music used in the feature film spin-offs from the series.
Clattenburg's jump from music to television started when he co-hosed a local cable show titled That Damn Cable Show, from 1990 to 1993.
