Jeanne Crépeau has worked in very different types, genres and formats of film and video. In 1985 she participated in a National Film Board training program, and, parallel to her studies, co-directed her first short film, L'usure. Her first indy feature Revoir Julie enjoyed wide release screening in 15 countries including Belgium, Holland, South Africa, Italy, Korea the United States and France. In addition to her studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal, the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto, and the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, where she completed a master’s degree in film in 2005, Crépeau apprenticed with such filmmakers as Jean-Claude Lauzon, Léa Pool, Francis Mankiewicz, Chantal Akerman and Jacques Doillon. Her feature La fille de Montréal had its premiere at the Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal in October 2010. These are her credits as a director.
