Barbara Doran lives in Newfoundland and has been producing and directing films for over 25 years. As founder of Morag Productions, Passage Films and Morag Loves Company, her award winning work in documentary and drama has been broadcast nationally and internationally. Her films have documented the sweatshops in Guatemala, women prisoners in Pakistan, serial killers on death row, AIDS workers in Soweto, romance writers, and electromagnetic weapons in the United States. Her most recent film (2010) is titled Still Rowdy After All These Years and is a portrait of fellow Newfoundlander, Gordon Pinsent. Her films, From The Shore, Where Credit is Due and Fair Trade, were produced as a series by the National Film Board of Canada under the title of African Market Woman Series.
