Trevor began his career as an actor on the much-loved CTV children's show Kiddo the Clown, in which he played Kiddo. He later became a director. One of the projcets he worked on was Coming Up Rosie, a short-lived comedy starring pre-SCTV Hall of Famers John Candy, Dan Aykroyd and Catherine O'Hara.
