Bernard Gosselin studied at the Institut des arts graphiques in Montreal and then worked as a printer. He joined the National Film Board's title department in 1956. Although he was primarily a cinematographer on nearly 50 films during his career, he first worked as an assistant cameraman, location manager and assistant editor before that. Of the handful of films he directed during the 1960s and '70s he is probably best-known for the children's sci-fi film Le Martien de Noël (The Christmas Martian). These are his credits as a director and co-director.
