Scot McFadyen

Scot McFadyen studied writing at the University of Victoria and worked as a music supervisor and soundtrack producer on a long list of film and television projects including Ginger Snaps, Siblings, Queer As Folk, Picture Claire and the cult hit FUBAR. His first feature documentary, Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2005, then screened at more than 40 international film festivals and was released theatrically in over 30 countries. In 2007, he won a Gemini Award for best writing in a documentary and was nominated for best direction for his work on that film. In 2010, RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage won the $25,000 Heineken Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
