Mark Palansky was born in Toronto, but spent a significant part of his life growing up in Los Angeles. His background in fine arts allows him to seamlessly combine his talents in sculpture, design, photography and filmmaking. Penelope is his debut as a feature film director. His short film, The Same, is an award-winning dark fable starring Josh Hartnett.
