Velcrow Ripper is a Genie Award-winning filmmaker, writer, web artist, and sound designer. The youngest of four children, his parents practiced the Baha'i faith, which he credits with helping to shape his world view. After graduating from Concordia University in Montréal, he apprenticed at the National Film Board, where he pursued his interests in social-issue documentary and experimental film. He has worked as a director, camera operator, sound design and sound editor. On the 2004 production, ScaredSacred, he served as director, writer, cinematographer, editor and soundman. The following credits are for films he directed or co-directed.
