Harry Saltzman

Harry Saltzman's partner in Woodfall Films was the director Tony Richardson. He is quoted as saying: "Harry Saltzman had a perfect mogul's figure - stocky, tubby - crinkly grey hair and the face of an eager coarse cherub." Harry Saltzman hired Sidney J. Furie to direct The Ipcress File. He was also the producer who in 1961 secured the rights to the James Bond character from author Ian Fleming. He joined with Albert "Cubby" Broccoli to create the company that would produce the first nine Bond films.
