LOIS SIEGEL

Lois Siegel first came to Canada to attend French Summer School at McGill University in 1968. She returned again in the summers of 1969, 1970 and 1971 when she made the decision to stay in Montreal. She began her filmmaking career there but has been based in Ottawa, Ontario for years. She was recently named one of the Top 50 people who are shaping the future of the National Capital, by Ottawa Life Magazine. She Her 1989 film, Stunt People, about a whole family that gets into the movie stunt business won a 1990 Genie Award. In addition to her work in film, Lois Siegel is also a highly accomplished photographer. From a large collection dating back many years, Siegel has given Northernstars.ca permission to use some of her photos.
