This movie was written by the author of the book which was originally titled, The Unnatural and Accidental Women. This movie is based on the true story of the drowning deaths of 10 women. For over 30 years, a serial killer preyed solely on native women in Winnipeg. His MO, as they say, was an offer to ease their isolation by buying them a drink, and be whatever else they needed, in order to drink them to death. The coroner's reports listed the cause of death of many of these women as "unnatural and accidental."
