Noémie is not quite eight-years-old and enjoys an insatiable curiosity. While not quite ignored by her hardworking parents, she seems closest to the upstairs neighbour, Mrs. Lumbago, who loves Noémie the way a real grandmother would. On the first anniversary of the passing of Mr. Lumbago (Raymond Bouchard), the ghost of the now late gentleman reminds Noémie of a story he used to tell. The story of treasure hiddden somewhere in the apartment. Noémie decides to launch a treasuree hunt and in doing so will uncover secrets about the adult world around her.
