The title of this film comes from the age of its main character, Tommy, (on the right, above) who at age ten and a half is well known to the local social service agencies. Judged incorrigable, Tommy rebels against all authority and seems to have been abandoned by all who know him. All except his new teacher, Gilles, who sees a glimmer of hope in the eyes of this young boy who only communicates through violence. Is Gilles the last chance for Tommy?
