Brendan Beiser

Brendan Joseph Beiser’s father, a Canadian psychiatrist, was a professor at Harvard in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Six years after Brendan was born his family moved to France for a year and then returned home to Canada. Beiser studied theatre at Concordia University in Montréal. He is an active member of Vancouver’s stage community. The film, ¡Aardvark! actually began as a play, written and directed by Beiser and Trevor White. It had a nine night run at the Looking Glass Theatre in Vancouver. The film version, a comedic documentary about a born-again Christian and his fall into the underworld of the entertainment industry, made its debut in November of 1997 on Vancouver television, but went on its US premiere at the 1998 New York Underground Film Festival.
