Yannick Bisson moved to Toronto as a teenager where he started taking acting lessons. After appearing in numerous TV commercials, his professional career took off when he was cast as the lead in the CBC’s critically acclaimed movie Hockey Night which starred Rick Moranis. His episodic television credits include Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Pretender, Ray Bradbury Theatre, The Hidden Room, Catwalk, Twice in a Lifetime, and many more. His work in Rookies earned him a 1992 Gemini Award nomination. He has played the title role of Inspector William Murdoch in the popular series, Murdock Mysteries (now airing on CBC), since 2007, a role that was originally created by Peter Outerbridge. |
