In addition to be the supervising producer for the Kids in the Hall TV series, Joe Bodolai was best known as a writer for Saturday Night Live. He counted among his greatest achievements the creation of the show, Comics!, which became a launching pad for budding Canadian comedians and went on to last eight seasons and 115 episodes. He also co-wrote the first draft of the film Wayne`s World with Mike Myers. Bodolai was found dead on December 26, 2011 in a Hollywood hotel room of an apparent suicide by consuming a mixture of Gatorade and anti-freeze. In a note posted online, Bodolai detailed a life spent working and fighting for Canadian talent. In a list of regrets was his decision to leave Canada. |
