Martyn Burke is a novelist and screenwriter who has directed many fictional and documentary films. The Pirates of Silicon Valley received five Emmy nominations including best writer, a Producers Guild nomination for best film and a Directors Guild nomination for best directing. In 2011 it was announced that he was working with HBO on the development of a new series titled Reds about Russia/Soviet Union spies living seemingly normal lives in the U.S. while sending secret information back to Moscow. His 2011 film, Under Fire: Journalists in Combat, was shortlisted for an Oscar® in November of 2011. WE list his credits as a Director first.
