Carolina Anna Bartczak was born in Germany to Polish parents who immigrated to Canada when she was young. She grew up in Kitchener, Ontario and first studied biochemistry at the University of Toronto. She studied Arts in Lyon and was a writer/photographer in southern Croatia before deciding to become an actor in 2009. She studied the Meisner technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse-School of the Theatre in New York City. In addition to her on-screen performances, she provided the voice of the title character in the 2010 animated series The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog. She is best known for playing Magda Lehnsherr, the wife of Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) in the Marvel production X-Men: Apocalypse. |
