American-Canadian actress, comedian, producer, writer and director Catherine Reitman majored in acting at the University of Southern California. Known for her role as Lucy on ABC’s hit show Blackish, and as the creator, executive producer, writer and star of the CBC series Workin’ Moms, which received five Canadian Screen Award nominations in 2017 including Best Actress, Comedy for Reitman, and Best Series, Comedy. She plays the role of Kate Foster on Workin’ Moms. Catherine Reitman’s dad is Producer-Director Ivan Reitman and she is sister to Caroline Reitman and director Jason Reitman. In 2016, she formed Wolf & Rabbit Entertainment with her husband Philip Sternberg (pictured above) to produce Workin’ Moms for CBC. In September 2020 Catherine Reitman was recognized by the Alliance for Women in Media with two Gracie Awards for Workin’ Moms—one for Best Lead Actress, Comedy and one for Best Direction, Comedy. The Gracies® are named after media pioneer Gracie Allen, who embodied the character of the awards, and recognize exemplary programming created by, for and about women in radio, television, and interactive media. |
